alias

i’m usually a big sucker for the storylines that play with the notion of one true love. i think that’s why i liked ally mcbeal, dawson’s creek, and friends so much. they just pull at the heartstrings when one is pursuing their one true love against insurmountable odds.

probably the biggest heartbreaks are when they can’t get their true love. ally never got billy and dawson never got joey. it looks like ross might get rachel, though. but i think i really enjoy those kinds of plots mostly because we’ve all been there before. we can all relate about pining over that one person, but not being able to do anything about it or not getting anywhere with it.

alias, though, doesn’t seem to be doing it for me. i wish that they played on the whole sydney/vaughn more instead of having her disappear all of a sudden. and now this whole love triangle just isn’t doing it for me. i don’t know why. maybe because there just doesn’t seem to be enough suffering or something.

but i’m glad that vaughn suspects lauren now. get her out of the picture, already, i’m bored with her.
