false advertising

i went to the store today to do some research on a project that i’m going to be working on. when i got there, i saw this pack of dede instant boba milk tea on the shelves. i decided to give it a whirl and see how it was, but i was fully expecting there to be pearls in the mix. when i opened up the mix finally, i saw that there was no pearls in it at all. in fact, the only thing that was there was this powder! i was wondering what the preparation instructions were going to be like to make the pearls and i was getting all excited about having this instant pearl tea mix. perhaps it was too much for me to assume that instant boba milk tea would actually have boba in it. is it then too much for me to assume that instant boba milk tea would have milk or tea in it too? and perhaps it is too presumptous of me to assume that it would be instant.

sheesh.

mac mini?

i am not a fan of apple. it’s true that i do own apple stock, but that was long before my allegiance to the pc world. but i have to admit that apple does come up with great ideas. and today’s announcement of the mac mini is actually rather remarkable. so much so that i am actually tempted to get one, just for fun. it’s affordable (cheap in apple standards) and it’s rather cute.

i’m not sure what i would really do with it, but it is kind of neat. what would have been neater is if it had a TV out, but i guess that would be asking for a little too much. that could have made it an excellent entertainment hub, though.

i think i’ll go check out the new mac mini at the apple store soon. i wasn’t as excited to hear about the ipod shuffle which i think is kind of lame. i think that apple might be able to make a go of it though based just on their reputation, though.

but what i think is really innovative is iWork. at its price point, i suspect that it will blow office out of the water. good for apple, it’s about time that they got out of their dependence with microsoft for a good office suite.
