my netflix queue is starting to get a little thin and i am in need of some good movies to watch. summertime tv is slow and mostly sucks so i have very little to watch at night. if anyone has any suggestions for some good movies, i would love to add them to my list.
i generally tend to like good action movies and romantic comedies. nothing too cheesy or over the top with the romantic comedies. if it’s dark humor, i generally tend to like it more.
here are few that i like…pride, running w/scissors, music and lyrics, because i said so, shooter, smokin’ aces, entourage (HBO show, so good), goal! the dream begins.
theres are in my blockbuster queue (no more netflix)…..factory girl, number 23, rize, zodiac…
I second Smokin’ Aces. Other action movies I’d recommend include The Departed and Casino Royale.
As for romantic comedies, the last one I saw was Fever Pitch. It’s somewhat cheesy, but it’s based on a Nick Hornby book and has some baseball.
_the last seduction_ is one of my favorite motives. it’s not a romantic comedy nor an action film, though. it stars linda fiorentino, one of the most underrated actresses, imho.
recently these are what i’ve seen, not the best ever, but just the best of recent stuff:
blood diamond, children of men, pan’s labyrinth. ghost rider (not that great a story, but enough good sound effects to try out your new receiver), running scared with paul walker.
Oh I did buy 300, so you could borrow that.
