now that’s a game

i, like most of football-loving america and other commercial watching people, watched the super bowl. i was rooting for the giants to win and felt that they had a good shot at it. the game was a low scoring one and i wasn’t sure if the giants could pull it off.

late in the fourth quarter, the game was on the line. eli manning was forced to lead a come-from-behind drive with about two and half minutes left. eli manning. two minute drill? no way, i thought. but there was still hope.

this was probably one of the best super bowls i’ve watched in recent history. jen, christi, and i were watching it and after the giants won, i looked over to jen to see that she was actually tearing up. her mighty patriots had fallen and she was taking it a lot harder than i expected.

all in all, it was a great game and i’m glad that it was, though it was unexpected to be this good to watch.

  1. Going into yesterday’s game, I wanted the Patriots to win, but it felt as though New York was on the upswing and New England was petering out.

Manning’s last drive was incredible. After he eluded the sack and made that miraculous pass to Tyree, the winning touchdown seemed inevitable. Great game!
