it’s been a while

i thought i’d surface for a little bit since it’s been a while since i’ve posted anything meaningful. things here have been busy to say the least. i’m STILL unpacking into my new place. so far, it’s been nice to be able to unpack at my leisure, but i’m starting to get sick of all of these boxes lying around, so i think that i will have to be more diligent about unpacking.

i have a lot of cabinet space, but i don’t have much closet space. i don’t have an external closet to store stuff and i don’t have a patio, so i’m trying to figure out how to put some of this stuff away.

i’ve been busy at work lately. so busy, in fact, that i haven’t gone into the office at all. i’m keeping my head down and working from home. it’s been tiring, but hopefully the end is near. we’ll see.

i went to vegas this weekend to play in the westwide volleyball tournament. our team eventually was seeded with jen’s team and we were three points shy of taking second place. oh well, it was fun, nonethless.

the big move

the big move was painful, but now that i’ve finally moved into my new place, the long process of settling in has started. i have been furiously buying new stuff to outfit my apartment. who knew that so many little things could add up?

the biggest issue i have now is trying to figure out what kind of TV i want to buy for my room. i still need to figure out how to wire up cable into my room, but that isn’t as big of a concern as unpacking all of the boxes that are scattered throughout the apartment. how i’m going to find anything is a wonder to me.

parking spot

after moving into my new apartment, i was assigned a spot to park in. the first night i got there, there was a car parked in my spot. i complained and i got assigned a new space. i parked in the new space and the next day there was a note on my windshield telling me that i will get towed if i don’t move out of that space. so i go and complain and leave an official note saying that they need to get out of my space. the next day, there’s no car, so i park there and then, sure enough, another note is there the next morning and they tell me that this has been their space for over two years now and that they live in the neighboring apartment complex.

it turns out that i was parking in the wrong parking lot! oops.
