R.I.P. TV

my big tv died. it’s old, though, so i guess i’m not surprised that it finally decided to give up. i think it is about 15 years old. they don’t make TVs like this anymore. BIG. it’s a 35″ tube tv that is built into an entertainment set. it is ridiculously heavy. but the picture stopped showing and the audio stopped too, so it’s now just a really heavy brick.

so i’ve recently started looking for a TV. it’s been years since i’ve shopped for a real TV and landscape has changed dramatically. there are so many choices and i didn’t know where to even start. sure, i’ve heard about plasmas and all, but i didn’t really know much about them, the pros, the cons, or anything. LCD TVs seemed like all the rage lately, too.

i asked warren to point me in the right direction and he gave me a ton of information and some resources to use to do some research. after much research, i think that i’ve settled on the samsung 46″ DLP HDTV. i think it’ll be a fine TV. warren says that once i’m ready to move to something larger, i can move this TV to the bedroom…that warren, he’s such a kidder…or is he?
