when installing osx86, some of the keys on the keyboard weren’t mapping out correctly. most of the keys worked, but the backtick/tilde key wasn’t working. i didn’t know what to do, but i finally stumbled across ukelele which will create keyboard mapping files for you. fantastic app and a great way to fix your keyboard if it is misbehaving.
