i had dinner at maggiano’s last night with paul, leeya, and mia. we decided to have the family dinner there which affords you 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 pastas, 2 main courses, and 2 desserts for i think $23. AND on top of that, you can ask for seconds. mmmm, so good.
we ended up all full and then we took the remainder of the food and put it on our plates and asked for seconds. shortly thereafter, we asked for boxes to box the second helpings. so bad. but oh so good.
i’ve only been there twice, but here are my experinces:
appetizers:
the stuffed mushrooms are good. i also liked their calamari. i personally didn’t think they mussels were all that great, but i don’t like mussels. my dinner companions couldn’t seem to get enough of it, though.
salads:
i personally liked the spinach salad and would recommend staying away from the caesar. the chopped with chicken salad was decent too if memory serves.
pasta:
i liked the rigatoni. i would recommend staying away from the linguine, chicken, pesto, pine nuts. the chicken is dry and the pesto is not very flavorful…bland is a better word to describe it. the veal and mushrom ravioli is good only if you like luscious, creamy ravioli…otherwise, for those who get queasy with too much creaminess, stay away from that.
main course:
i really love their chicken parmesan. my dinner comanions didn’t eat as much of it, but i can’t get enough of the stuff. the salmon, lemon, & herbs is also a nice light salmon dish that is quite good.
dessert:
i hear the cheesecake here is quite good as well as the tiramisu. personally, i would like to try the pound cake and spumoni next time.
forgot to mention my friend told me to register on their website; then they sent me a $10 coupon via email to print out. Will have to try it soon though.
thanks for the tip!! What good to order there, everyone’s favorite?
